We are in an age where technology and industry have become deeply embedded in daily life. On a micro scale, everything from our food and clothing to the mobile devices we utilize, the websites we visit, the means of transport we employ for commuting, our job activities, and the tools we handle at work are all influenced by industrial production and machine manufacturing processes, both directly and indirectly. On a macro scale, the classification of countries as developed, developing, or underdeveloped is significantly influenced by their industrial and technological advancements. It is impossible to imagine the current world without industry. Industrial sociology plays a fundamental role in the modern world and provides insights into the complex relationships between industry, the individual, and society. The Journal of Industrial Sociology seeks to publish works that explore the relationships between industry, individuals, and society.
