Abstract
Extended Abstract
Introduction: Unbalanced spatial distribution of industrial uses is one of the most important urban and regional issues in developing countries and Iran. A balanced and balanced distribution of development indicators, especially industrial activities, is an important step towards eliminating regional inequalities. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating regional inequalities in industrial development indicators in Iran.
Method: In this quantitative-analytical study, using the adaptive composite solution technique (Cocoso), industrial development indicators in Iran have been studied and analyzed. The scope of this study is 31 Iranian provinces in 2024. The data required for the study were secondary data that were adapted from the Iranian Statistical Yearbook in 2024. A total of 12 indicators were selected for spatial analysis of Iranian industrial development indicators. These indicators were weighted using the Shannon entropy model and used in the Cocoso technique. After forming the decision matrix from the industrial data, the different steps of the Cocoso model were calculated for the Iranian provinces and the three strategies of this model were tested. Finally, the final score of the Iranian provinces in terms of industrial development indicators in 2024 was calculated and a comparative comparison of the Iranian provinces was made.
Findings: The research findings show that in the first strategy of Cocoso technique, Tehran's with (0/040), Isfahan's with (0/040) and Khorasan Razavi's with (0/038) have assigned themselves the highest points. In the second strategy of Cocoso technique, Tehran's with (18/344), Isfahan's with (16/20) and Khorasan Razavi's with (11/689) have assigned themselves the highest points. In the third strategy of Cocoso technique, Tehran's with (1/000), Isfahan's with (0/986) and Khorasan Razavi's with (0/942) had the highest points. In all three strategies of Cocoso technique, Tehran's, Isfahan's and Khorasan Razavi's had the highest industrial development indicators. The research findings show that in the first strategy of Cocoso technique, Ilam's with a score of (0/023) has assigned itself the lowest points. In the second strategy of Cocoso technique, North Khorasan has the lowest score with a score of (2/274). In the third strategy of Cocoso technique, Ilam province has the lowest score with a score of (0/577). In the first and third strategies of Cocoso technique, Ilam province has the lowest score.
Conclusion: The research results and the final score (K) obtained from the Cocoso technique indicate inequality and imbalance in the indicators of industrial development in Iran.
